The Acting Governor of Katsina State, Malam Faruk Lawal Jobe, on Wednesday paid a condolence visit to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo, following the death of his father.
Leading a delegation on behalf of the government and people of Katsina State, Jobe described the loss as a painful one not only to the Ododo family but also to the entire people of Kogi State, noting the late patriarch’s contributions to community service and guidance.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and give the family strength to bear the loss.
“We pray that Allah (SWT) grants the late Alhaji eternal rest, forgives his sins, and rewards his good deeds. May He grant you, Governor Ododo, and your entire family the fortitude to bear this great loss. Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return,” Jobe said.
In his response, Governor Ododo expressed appreciation to the Acting Governor and his entourage for their solidarity and compassion during the period of mourning. He also prayed for Allah’s blessings upon Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, the Acting Governor, and the people of Katsina State.
Those who accompanied the Acting Governor include the Deputy Governor of Jigawa State, Engr. Aminu Usman; Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House Katsina, Alhaji Mukhtar Aliyu Saulawa; and Fadahunsi Samson Olukayode, Chief Executive Officer of Prosperis Holdings.
